The Kiwanis Club of Gloucester Township is Always Looking for New Members!
There are many measurable benefits to joining Kiwanis! You will have the unique experience of participating in various community service projects that are geared to helping our children, as well as the community as a whole.
Kiwanis of Gloucester Township meets regularly and members interact with people from the area. In addition to regular meetings, we have great social get togethers, which include dinners, award ceremonies, and on occasion informal gatherings at a member’s house.
Kiwanis has projects that are unique and enjoyable to take part in. We organize and run a Children’s Garden, in which local children experience first hand the joy of gardening. We start at the beginning by prepping the soil, then planting, exercise garden up-keep, and finally harvest the fruits of our hard work! Kiwanis provides lessons in nature which surrounds the garden, and we partake in fun and educational crafts every week. The club also participates annually in awarding scholarships to outstanding and deserving students in the area. We host events at Ronald McDonald House and at other charitable organizations.
As a member of the Kiwanis Club of Gloucester Township you will work with other groups in the community. We participate in activities along side the Family Resource Center, The GT Special Parents and Special Kids Network, and the police department. We have strong relationships with local businesses, some donate regularly financially and supply materials for our projects.
Unlike other local service organizations require members have a prominent social standing in the community, or are by invitation only. This is not so with Kiwanis. We pride ourselves in reaching out to anyone in the community who wants to give back. We are inclusive and welcome anyone who wants to pitch in and help our children. If you are interested in joining,
Feel free to come to one of our meetings. We meet at Valleybrook Country Club. We are always looking for new ideas! See our calendar for meeting dates and times
